This training has come about due to the demand of locals to know how to plant rice since it is starting to become a staple food for the Papua New Guineans. CLTC has recognized that need and has responded with training local farmers and students on rice cultivation. CLTC has been growing and also assisting local farmers within its community to grow rice. Given that CLTC has been buying rice from the local farmers to mill it, it has created another income earning opportunity for the locals. Students come from all over the country to study rice training. For enquiries, pleas contact Reuben Meiyao for more information.
